Battle for Vega: The Largest Battle Yet

Overview of the battle of Vega, over 35 ships in combat

A large Genari armada organized to take Vega, the closest and most vulnerable star system in Sol space. Led by Blingon's Leviathan Dreadnought, it was followed by DarkSeid and Zigzagler's Great Wing Heavy Cruisers, and subsequently joined by other players with Light Cruisers, Destroyers, and Frigates. Sol was ready for the defensive, however, and came in full force to protect their massive Starbase.

It eventually led to a battle of over 40 warships, with heavy casualties on both sides; but Sol eventually broke the assault when Zig's Heavy Cruiser was destroyed, and the Genari force retreated.

However, since this post, the Armada returned, and managed to destroy Vega I, while the mainstay of the Sol fleet was attacking the Genari system of Ghazah.
