The SpaceWars AI has been mostly a companion AI for fleet commander's secondary ships and to defend sectors that players attack; but now it has enough 'intelligence' to select sectors and attack on its own.

So every race now has its own AI players/ships, which strike border sectors with class III and IV ships. However, beware of the more advanced Hero AI that will come with class V and VI destroyers and light cruisers and significant crew upgrades. These special AI will play similar to a veteran-skilled player and are extremely challenging. You will notice their uniqueness with their 'premium' captain avatars.

Try and challenge them, but be careful!
